Healing the relationships that continue to live within us.
Attachment wounds often develop through accumulated experiences of inconsistency, emotional neglect, criticism, rejection, parentification, or relationships where your need for safety, belonging, or authenticity couldn’t be fully met. In Gestalt therapy, we slow down enough to notice how those early experiences continue to shape your present-moment relationships—with yourself, with others, and with the world around you.
Rather than viewing anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, emotional distance, or fear of abandonment as personal flaws, we understand them as creative adaptations that once helped you preserve relationship and survive. Therapy offers a relational, experiential space to bring these patterns into awareness with compassion, explore the unfinished relational experiences they carry, and discover new ways of making authentic contact without abandoning yourself.
The goal isn’t simply to understand your attachment patterns. It’s to cultivate greater self-trust, flexibility, and the capacity for authentic relationship. As awareness grows, so does your freedom to participate in relationships with presence, honesty, and connection rather than organizing your life around old survival strategies.

Odd schedule? Frequently traveling for work? Looking for a more immersive therapeutic experience? Therapy intensives offer the opportunity to move at a deeper, more focused pace than traditional weekly therapy. We can meet for one to three consecutive 6-hour days, either in Washington, DC, or I can travel to you in Delaware, Maryland, Ohio, or Virginia.
Step 1: Consultation to determine whether an intensive is the right fit.
Step 2: One to three online preparation sessions to clarify your goals, build our therapeutic relationship, and prepare for the intensive.
Step 3: Your therapy intensive.
Therapy intensives create space to stay with important emotional processes as they naturally unfold, rather than stopping because the session time is over.
*Additional expenses may apply for travel, lodging, meals, and meeting space when applicable.
I am independently licensed in the states listed below and available for online teletherapy when you join while physically in one of those locations. I am also available, upon request, for in-person intensives (day-long or multi day-long therapy experiences). Ask me about scheduling a therapy intensive to learn more.
