Reconnecting with the parts of yourself that trauma asked you to leave behind.
Trauma changes more than our memories. It shapes how we experience ourselves, our bodies, our relationships, and the world around us. In Gestalt therapy, we slow down enough to notice what is happening in the present moment—your thoughts, bodily sensations, emotions, and the creative ways you’ve learned to survive. Rather than asking what’s wrong with you, we become curious about the patterns that once protected you and how they continue to shape your life today.
Gestalt therapy offers a relational, experiential space where healing doesn’t require becoming someone different. Together, we gently explore the unfinished emotional experiences that continue to live in the present while cultivating greater awareness, flexibility, and self-trust. As awareness grows, new possibilities for connection, choice, and authenticity begin to emerge.
The goal isn’t simply to reduce symptoms. It’s to reconnect with the vitality, creativity, and capacity for authentic relationship that trauma may have asked you to leave behind. Healing becomes more than surviving the past—it becomes rediscovering the freedom to participate fully in your life today.

Odd schedule? Frequently traveling for work? Looking for a more immersive therapeutic experience? Therapy intensives offer the opportunity to move at a deeper, more focused pace than traditional weekly therapy. We can meet for one to three consecutive 6-hour days, either in Washington, DC, or I can travel to you in Delaware, Maryland, Ohio, or Virginia.
Step 1: Consultation to determine whether an intensive is the right fit.
Step 2: One to three online preparation sessions to clarify your goals, build our therapeutic relationship, and prepare for the intensive.
Step 3: Your therapy intensive.
Therapy intensives create space to stay with important emotional processes as they naturally unfold, rather than stopping because the session time is over.
*Additional expenses may apply for travel, lodging, meals, and meeting space when applicable.
I am independently licensed in the states listed below and available for online teletherapy when you join while physically in one of those locations. I am also available, upon request, for in-person intensives (day-long or multi day-long therapy experiences). Ask me about scheduling a therapy intensive to learn more.
